Sunday Confessional 3

Cartoon

I find this cartoon hysterical, not as someone who’s always trying to get people to eat healthier but as someone who would eat meat and potatoes for every meal if I could.

I drink on average more coffee a day right now than I did for the whole month of August. If coffee is wrong, I don’t want to be right.

I cried during the Barbara Walter’s Most Fascinating People of 2010 when she listed the successes and salaries of the Jersey Shore cast. I just thought you should know that.

December 9th 065

I promised myself I wouldn’t bake when I should be studying for finals. I lied.

I went to the dining hall one night and ate a dinner of undercooked sweet potato, limpy asparagus, and uncooked tofu with vinegar, salt and pepper. It was disappointing, so I went home and made roasted kabocha squash with fresh chicken to eat an hour later. Much better.

I don’t drink, but if anyone wants to send me a recipe for dairy-free alcohol infused whipped cream we can change that.

Yeah, I promised myself I wouldn’t bake last week until I was done my paper. That’s always a lie…it’s better to just let yourself bake and get it out of your system. And then you have some delicious study treats as well 🙂

I do not miss dining hall food in the least. The only convenient thing was that I didn’t have to chop my own vegetables…

I can’t believe you don’t drink. Of course you’re not legal yet so of course you don’t drink 🙂

Actually, just soak and blend cashews or use tru-whip and gently fold in some booze of your choice…I’d say bourbon + vanilla. Or rum + vanilla would be perfect!

I’ve been dreaming about your blondies since you posted them. Their in the oven now! 🙂 I’m using whole wheat pastry flour b/c I’m in love with the texture. Guests coming over for lunch. Let you know how they like them!

WW Pastry flour was delicious. More like a cookie bar than a blondie. Our guests enjoyed them too, thanks!

I love Zits, and the cartoon cracked me up. Good luck with finals – I told myself I wouldn’t read blogs til my final assignments were finished, but we both know how well that went….

Those disappointing dining hall dinners are not something I miss – at least you have a kitchen as a backup.
If baking relaxes you, I’d say baking during finals is a great way to cope with stress!
