Four Humor’s Sake

Today I’m making my first of 2 trips back to Providence. Because of that, I’ll probably only be eating Larabars in the car and Whole Foods hot bar on the road for lunch. Instead I’d thought I’d (try to) humor you with some little known facts about me.

Four TV Shows I Watch:

Ok, let’s get real: If you know me, you know I watch a ton of TV. The national average is around 150 hours a month; I’m pretty sure I can knock that out in a week. What can I say? I’m an overachiever. So let’s make this one fourteen.

January 19th 053

Four Things I’m Passionate About:

December 27th 060

  • Award Shows
  • Celebrity Romances
  • Brownies
  • Cooking without having to clean up afterwards

Four Words/Phrases I Use Too Much:

  • “Amazing.” Some days I ask myself if I know any other adjectives at all.
  • “WTF”
  • “Oh Really?” I have a deep love for sarcasm, but you probably haven’t realized that.
  • “How easy is that?” Oh wait, that’s Ina Garten. I get me and her confused all the time.

Four Things I’ve Learned In the Past:

January 11th 072

  • Blood stains are really hard to get out of white socks.
  • If you go into Target for paper towels, you’ll also come out with a new shirt and season 1 of Modern Family.
  • If Ricky just let Lucy be in his show, each episode would have been approximately 5 minutes long.
  • Sweet and sour sauce makes anything better.

Four Things I’m Looking Forward To:

Four Things I’ve Loved This Winter:

January 113th 093

Four People I Want to Complete This Survey:

Did you learn anything new? More importantly, do you want to play along? Go ahead and tell me 4 things that you love lately.

I also watch a lot of tv. Notice I didn’t say WAY too much..because I really enjoy all of the hours I plant myself on the couch. I have the same love for Grey’s, Modern Family, the TODAY show and Brothers and SIsters as you…not so much Rome though. I should check out Doctor Who.

I already thought you were pretty cool, but when I saw I Love Lucy in your DVD collection, I knew you were the coolest.

True story: After a horrible breakup two years ago, I went out and treated myself to the whole series of Lucy on DVD. I don’t even want to know the hundreds of hours I spent nursing a cup of coffee, eating Dove Dark Chocolate, and watching Lucy. 🙂

I DID learn something new! And hey, I was watching I Love Lucy yesterday 😀

I could easily get addicted to pretty much any TV show, but I’m bad at remembering to watch them. And sometimes finding time to watch the few shows I do watch weekly stresses me out – yeah, I think that means I stress out too easily.
4 things I love lately? Cookies out of my freezer, my foam roller, my smart phone, and our french fry cutter.

LOL! I get Ina Garten and myself confused ALL the time also. It’s so hard to tell the difference, since we’re both so talented, elegant, and fun! 😉

Haha…how true! I love “I Love Lucy.” I think it’s totally awesome that you have the collection. 😀

    1. That I live at home so when I cover myself with grapefruit splatterings every night no one will judge me

    2. Medjool dates. Like a lot.

    3. That psychopath Michelle on the Bachelor. She’s such an evil diva.

    4. Friday Night TV. Because somehow I feel like endless episodes of Say Yes To The Dress, What Not To Wear, and House Hunters is a legit reason not to go out.

I love most of those tv shows. I totally watch Days of Our Lives because it is on during my lunch break. We’ll pretend I got sucked it by accidentally leaving the tv on NBC once.

I’m so excited about Torchwood coming back! I might have to subscribe to Starz just for that.

A blogger I like tweeted last week that she read somewhere to only watch as much tv for as long as you exercised that day. I laughed out loud at that. Not enough hours in the day.

LOL. Half of my exercising in the winter are in front of a TV. I don’t know how I’d be able to work that out.

Haha. Nice post. I say awesome way too much. In fact, I think I said it about 20 times over the course of 30 minutes in a job interview a few years back. Hey, they offered me the job. I guess people love to hear that their company is awesome. Who knew?! And I grew up watching I Love Lucy. One of my favorite shows!

Blood stains are definitely hard to get out of socks. I buy cheap socks and toss them after a long run when I bleed through them. Sorry, too much information- but it’s true!

Hmm… 4 tv shows that jesus watches huh? I am thinking Lucy has GOT to be one of them. How could he not? And I love that comment about the shows being 5 mins long if Ricky ever let Lucy be in his show. There was a comment in a Golden Girls episode like this, and I bet you are the only other one on the planet that knows what I am talking about. I love that you love classic tv, it is about all I can handle. That and the Amazing Race, I WILL be on that show one day.

The “amazing” word–SO true. Sometimes I’ll say “amazingly amazing” and be…ahem, amazed with my lack of adjectives/adverbs.
and the Julian Assange thing was so random it made me laugh.

Hey there–fun post, and some potted education for me, since I’ve hardly watched tv my whole life!

I made your chocolate-chip banana blondies with pb frosting for company last night and just blogged about it: http://ulteriorharmony.blogspot.com/2011/01/phils-stairway-to-heaven-wildlife.html if you feel like taking a look. Thanks for sharing: everyone loved them. I made them with flour and butter so can only be the messenger. But fixing something and discovering that it’s someone’s favorite would have to be one of my four.

Another would be hiking the beach in the snow.

Number three would be learning new things about nutritional health and evolution.

Number four, which is really number one, is having good writing days.

Gosh, you got me to play along–I never do that!
    cheers,
    Ela

4 Things I Want To Eat Right Now:

    1. Coconut butter, Healthy Everythingtarian style. With a spoon.

    2. A big hot creamy mug of coffee. Even though it’s 8pm.

    3. Roasted butternut squash with apples and onions

    4. A perfectly ripe mango, which I will devour alone with my bare hands and get covered in juice.

Also, DOCTOR WHO FTW! Who’s your favorite Doctor? I’m in the minority but mine’s #9 🙂

For me it’s going in for Tide and coming out with earrings and a sports bra.

And I was a Days of Our Lives groupie for many a long year before I gave it up. You HAVE to tell me how you got started on that show!

We don’t own a television!! We have Netflix and watch a movie once or twice a week using our laptops as the screen, but that is it. Sometimes I try to catch NCIS online.

Everyone always makes tv references on Twitter and blogs, and I never get it!

YAY PVD! Is it weird that I am excited you are returning even though we have never met in real life? I feel like my friend is coming back to town! Even though you are…okay, you know what I mean. I sound really desperate.

I say amazing all the time. And I also love turning on my desk top space heater and directing it right into my face and pretending like I’m at the beach.
