Things I’m Looking Forward To

1. 50% off Easter candy

April 19th 005

Clearly I’ve broken into some before its gone on sale. I’m just going to eat more then.

2. The new season of Doctor Who

doctor-who-season-6-photo-04-550x388

If you need me this Summer, watching this is what I’ll be doing.

3. The Royal Wedding

I’m setting my alarm for 4am so I can watch the complete coverage. You don’t believe me? Must not know me.

4. Making this cake again

March 28th 102

I haven’t had a reason to make this in the past month and it’s starting to dig at me. Is it someone’s birthday? Would you mind a 1/2 eaten cake in the mail?

5. The Philly Marathon

I’m sure at some point this will turn to nerves but right now I’m just excited by the thought of running another marathon.

What are you looking forward to?

It’s not my birthday, but I’d take THAT cake anytime. Half eaten or not 🙂

I am obsessed with Doctor Who!!! I just started two weeks ago and am already nearly done with Season 4. I’m a little nervous to lose David Tennent but I’m sure I’ll like Matt Smith. I’ve heard good things.

My gym is opening at 4 am on Friday, so the morning exercisers of the world can watch the royal wedding on the treadmill. They are also serving tea and crumpets. Clearly this is why I’m a member.

It’s funny how people are either so into the wedding or just don’t give a care. I’m kind of in the middle – I care enough but not so much that I’m gonna wake up at 4am, haha. We are supposedly having a ‘tea party’ at work that day though!

Wait. Both River Song and the boyfriend are going to be in the new season of Doctor Who? (I’m horribly behind because I was so scared of the Stone Angels the first time around that it took me a full year to get around to watch those episodes. I’m on episode 8 from last year…I guess I should watch a few more today.)

Yes, I can confirm that the new Dr. Who series is up to its usual high standards, its been paaainful waiting for it to come back again… some cracking one liners in there. Me? I’m looking forward to the second part next Saturday…. Its a shame I can’t send you some gluten free crumpets to ease your 4am start on Friday- I think most people in the U.K. are distinctly underwhelmed by the Royal wedding, but are pretty chuffed with having an extra day off of work. I just feel for Kate+William having to have billions of people watching them make their vows, they seem like the kind of people who would rather have a quiet ceremony +then go down to the pub afterwards. Fingers crossed no one trips over or forgets the rings!

Such great things to look forward to! I’ll definitely be a couch potato the day of the Royal Wedding (no treadmill viewing at 4am here!), munching on that sinful piece of chocolate cake you made and having my cup of tea like the British. As to what I look forward to this year, it’s the holiday trip to Bali with another food blogger I’ve made friends with purely through blogging. She’s flying halfway across the world to chill out with me, isn’t that the greatest?!

*Ahem* My birthday is Tuesday and you can send me half eaten baked goods any day. That sounds way grosser typed out than it did in my head, but I still stand by it.

I’m glad I’m not the only one interested in all the royal wedding business! I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get up to watch it, but I’m considering it…

I sure did freeze my Easter candy until the next day I plan to eat sugar (June 26th, my birthday). And, I am definitely attending a formal attire only tea, Royal Wedding watch party.
