Maple-Roasted Brussel Sprouts

March 6th 162

In case it isnโ€™t obvious, I love maple and roasted things. Any excuse to add sugar to vegetables sound good to me. These have just enough flavor to get anyone to eat their vegetables.

Maple-Roasted Brussel Sprouts

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch brussel sprouts, stems removed
  • 2 Tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons cooking oil
  • splash of white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

March 6th 131

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Toss the brussel sprouts with the maple syrup, oil, vinegar, and salt.

Lay the brussel sprouts out on a single layer. Bake for 45 minutes or until theyโ€™ve browned.

Even though these were frozen vegetables, they still tasted darn good. Iโ€™m looking forward to eating this again when the vegetable is fresh and in season to get a better caramelization. Until then, Iโ€™ll just have to see what else I can cook in maple syrup.

Anything sweet and brussel sprouts pair nicely. I have made something similar but with honey, and it turned out great. I will definitely give the maple syrup a try.

Doesn’t maple syrup make everything better?! I’ve come to truly love roasted brussels sprouts, and I’m psyched to try ’em with maple syrup. I typically just cut them in half, toss them with olive oil, salt & pepper, and roast until crisp on the outside. YUM.

I’m pretty sure I could put away a few pounds of this one. SO good looking!!! Love the simple ingredients… and of course the roasted sprouts- my favorite!

These look amazing! If only the brussels sprouts available here at the moment weren’t so shrivelled and, at the same time, expensive. Another recipe to log away for later!

The maple and honey flavors play off of veggies is truly a thing of beauty!

I love all forms of brussel sprouts, but I prefer fresh ones just because they roast better in the oven, and the leaves peel out and get all dark and crunchy…

Love this recipe. I was getting kind of tired of plain old roasted brussels sprouts. Gotta try this one!
