Photos From The Weekend

Today is Superbowl Sunday and to be completely honest I’d have no clue if all of my favorite food blogs weren’t posting guacamole and buffalo chicken dip recipes. I don’t regularly follow football and barely enjoy watching the Superbowl if the Patriots are in it. But please, somebody alert me any time a Betty White commercial comes on.

Instead of guacamole or dip, I’d much rather be eating these:

February 5th 028

I made a batch of Outrageous Triple Chocolate Brownies for a friend’s belated birthday. Obviously, I had to try one to make sure I wasn’t poisoning anyone, and then I had to move the pan out of site to make sure I didn’t try anymore.

Last weekend I got new running shoes. Can you tell which pair is the new one and which is the old one? I’ll give you a hint: Their the same brand and the treads should be mirror images of one another except for the color. I really like to get my money’s worth.

February 5th 037

Saturday morning I went out for a long run. Holly asked how marathon training was going; right now I’m taking it week-by-week meaning if I can make it through my long run then I haven’t given in yet. This run went really well in the new shoes.

January 30th 078

And then I ate a large bowl of Chinese food, which really isn’t the best thing after a long run I’ve learned because you’ll spend the rest of the day burping up soy sauce and garlic. I’m going to need another brownie to freshen my breath.

Superbowl: yay or nay?

Looks like you needed new running shoes! The new ones feel nice and cushy I bet, that is one of my favorite things new shoes to run in :)! Those brownies look awesome, and I would agree that they are better than all the other superbowl food ;)!

Superbowl = giant nay. Even though I dated a football player and basically understand it, it is so boring! I fell asleep during a football game once, I felt so terrible!

    P.s. I need a garmin, I’m glad you had a good run!:)

I love large sporting events. I think it brings a comradery to people like little else can, honestly. I love everyone getting together for a common purpose, friendly rivalry (unless you’re from Ohio State, because as a Wolverine I’m required to hate you), and good food and drinks. It’s just fun!

I’m kind of excited that the Super Bowl is tonight because it means that the grocery store won’t be crowded when I do my weekly shopping!

Hilarious shoes… looks like you reeeaally needed new ones 🙂

Superbowl is a nay. Dislike both teams, hugely. Also, we don’t get cable, and I’m SO sick that I’m not going to make it to our friends’ house tonight to watch it with everyone 🙁 Womp womp. But I’d take a brownie, for sure…

Awesome job on your 12-miler!! How did you feel? Looks like you definitely needed some new shoes…usually I purchase before mine are literally falling apart 😉
I enjoy watching football, but my favorite part of the Super Bowl is the food and commercials, hands down. Hope you enjoy your brownies!

Superbowl- nay! And I totally hear you on tasting foods when you’re running. I had a peanut butter binge the night before a long run once, and the mere thought of peanut butter was enough to make me sick for a week. Thankfully, I got over it 🙂

As an Australian (in Australia), the Superbowl doesn’t really matter and I couldn’t care less… and yet I’m actually watching it right now. I drove to my parents’ place to use their internet and my dad is home from work to watch it!

    Now I want a brownie.

I was gonna order my first ever taste of tofu at the Japanese restaurant last week. My husband talked me out of it. Why the hell did I listen to him?
