Looks like I could take some advice from you and make that quinoa instead!

Oh poor you! I hate it when you've had a clean bill of health for awhile then BOOM! youre sick! I like to make lots of broth with brown rice or gluten free noodles and scrambled eggs. I crave salt and bland. I know, boring! Rest up.

I think this is the first semester that I *haven't* gotten sick during finals. Hope you feel better. Power through!

My mom would always make me toast and (provided it wasn't actually a stomach sickness) some hot cocoa. You could even make it cinnamon and sugar toast. Yum.

So easy to get sick during finals! It's the typical thing, I think. Hope they go fine anyway. Turning into a pumpkin for the duration doesn't sound quite so bad!

Cinnamon is a wonderful thing, especially mixed with other aromatic spices. Cloves and allspice have the highest antioxidant levels of any foods, ginger and cardamom (which are related, btw) rule too. Can put them all together and make a hot toddy (back in the day I used to do it with lots of lemon, honey and whisky; nowadays the latter two ingredients are out but the rest remain).

Sorry you're sick during finals! That's really tough. When I'm sick I drink peppermint tea and eat broth-based soups. Not sure if it helps, but it can't hurt!

Ginger is great when you're sick...as is garlic (which I hate) but rock the garlic if you can. It's antiviral/antimicrobial/antibacterial, etc...ginger, and load up on echinacea if you have it.

Or just do a shot of rum in some hot apple cider or tea and go back to bed...kidding. Kind of.
